Play & discover
Building, pretending, making art, telling stories, and asking questions bring literacy, math, science, and problem-solving into everyday play.
Rooted in Telluride, Colorado
A warm preschool community where children feel known, friendships grow, and learning begins with play. Time to wonder, create, explore, and enjoy being little.
Full-time and consistent part-time schedules, based on availability.

Welcome to Ingram House
Children are capable, creative, and naturally curious. We give them time and space to explore their ideas, build relationships, and discover what they can do—with caring teachers alongside them.
Building, pretending, making art, telling stories, and asking questions bring literacy, math, science, and problem-solving into everyday play.
Children learn best when they feel safe, understood, and valued. We help them build friendships, express their needs, and work through challenges.
Nature, neighborhood walks, fresh air, and the changing seasons make our mountain community an extension of the classroom.
Meet our director
More than a decade in early childhood education
Cale began her early childhood career in Telluride and has served as a teacher, program director, and owner of a small home-based childcare program. Those experiences shape her vision for a preschool where children feel deeply known and excited to walk through the door.
At Ingram House, she partners with families to build a community rooted in connection, play, curiosity, and belonging.
Our approach
Our days balance dependable routines with room to follow children’s interests. Teachers prepare thoughtful environments, introduce materials, ask questions, and extend learning while leaving space for children to lead.
We use Experience Curriculum as one resource for planning stories, music, art, science, literacy, math, and movement. Teachers adapt it to the children, their interests, and the discoveries of the day.
Social-emotional growth, language, physical development, and creative expression grow together.
Kindergarten readiness includes confidence, independence, communication, curiosity, early literacy, and math.
We work with families to understand each child’s strengths and needs, with community resources when helpful.
Outdoor play, seasonal exploration, local walks, and community experiences are part of learning here.

Enrollment & tuition · 2026–2027
We offer full-time Monday–Friday enrollment and consistent part-time schedules when space is available. Start an application through Playground, or contact Cale to discuss your child, your schedule, and current openings.
Current Playground enrollment session
Ingram House operates year-round with scheduled closures. These dates identify the current enrollment session listed on Playground.
Tuition is calculated from your child’s regular schedule across the annual school calendar and divided into 12 equal monthly payments. Your enrollment agreement states the exact monthly amount.
Tuition reserves your child’s space. Planned school closures are included in the annual calculation; absences and scheduled closures are not separately prorated or refunded.
A $100 non-refundable fee is due when a new family accepts a space.
Families transitioning directly from Telluride Preschool are not charged an additional enrollment fee for the 2026–2027 school year.
Monthly invoices are issued through Playground and are due on the 1st. Full billing policies are in the family handbook.
Enrollment priorities include:
The waitlist is not strictly first-come, first-served. Placement also depends on available schedules, classroom composition, capacity, staffing, and our ability to support each child. Priority does not guarantee a space.
Ingram House does not offer drop-in or day-skier childcare.
Subsidized care is accepted. Contact Cale about participating programs, eligibility, and funding availability for your family. Ask about UPK, CCCAP, Strong Start, and any amounts not covered by assistance.
Visit our Playground listing and select Apply now to begin. Applications are reviewed according to our enrollment priorities and available space; submitting an application does not guarantee placement.
We encourage a visit with your child before the first day. Families complete enrollment agreements, emergency contacts, health records, permissions, and the handbook acknowledgment before starting.
For our families
Open communication helps us know your child and support their growth. We use Playground for family communication, announcements, billing, and other program needs as features are introduced.

Teachers may also request a small blanket or comfort item for rest. Please label your child’s belongings.
Children should be independently using the toilet when they enroll, with age-appropriate help as needed. Occasional accidents are expected and handled calmly, privately, and supportively. Please keep extra clothes at school.
No. We offer a predictable afternoon rest and quiet period, but children are not required to sleep. After an appropriate opportunity to rest, children who remain awake may choose quiet activities.
Playground is our primary family communication and administrative platform. We also offer two family conferences each year, and families may request a meeting whenever helpful.
Non-urgent messages generally receive a response within one business day. For same-day pick-up changes or immediate care needs, contact the school directly.
We operate year-round with scheduled holidays, seasonal breaks, and staff-development closures. Families receive the annual calendar at enrollment.
Schedule changes require at least 30 days’ notice and depend on availability. Withdrawal requires at least 30 days’ written notice, with tuition due throughout that notice period.
Neighborhood walks, outdoor exploration, and community outings may be part of the school day. Families complete the required permissions and receive advance information about significant trips, transportation, or extra costs.
When offered, children age four who meet readiness expectations may have an opportunity to join the Comets Ski Program. Participation depends on availability, staffing, readiness, weather, and logistics; details are shared each winter.
